The Other Woman, who I finally get to meet 10 years later (38/261)

She’s warm, appreciative, likeable. During the massage, she mentions that she trained as a nurse, used to live in Peterborough and studied epidemiology. WAIT A MINUTE... wasn’t the woman Lorne dumped me for 10 years ago a nurse living in Peterborough, with an epi degree?

How strange to meet under these circumstances. Did you dig in a little harder?

Oh yes, I applied a lot of elbow pressure (evil laugh). Actually, I wasn't sure it was her at the time, but I knew the person had worked for the government, and since I now knew her last name, the next day I checked it out. Sure enough, her name did turn up on one of their reports.

I know they aren't together anymore, because 5 years after it happened Lorne got in touch with me and we met for dinner. He told me they had been married but it hadn't worked out. I felt nothing for him anymore; so much for the fickleness of love (or me).
